Over the past 3 – 5 years, I’ve hired and worked with over 100 recent grads, teaching them as much as I can about “Corporate America” and helping them sharpen their tools for success. But a lot of this advice (which is a very generous term in this case) comes to me randomly, like when I’m at dinner with family, or reeling in the world’s smallest catch. So instead of hoping to remember everything, I started taking notes. And I built a 2 week training course. In the process, I’ve talked to some really smart people, and I’ve tried and retried methods and practices until they’re pretty successful.
This blog is my notebook of ideas and thoughts, and little pearls of wisdom I’ve picked up from other people along the way. There are many, many great people who’ve helped inspire these posts.
I’m not a great blogger, and I hope that doesn’t get in the way of things. I know I’m supposed to talk more about me, and inject a more conversational tone into my posts. And I think I should have more content provided by different people. So one of my near-future goals is to make this blog more engaging to the readers. If anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears.
But until then, I’m going to keep on posting as I think of new topics or as interesting things happen.
